TORONTO — Warner Bros. Television released a photo Thursday of Canadian actor Donal Logue as Gotham City Detective Harvey Bullock — the first image of a character from the upcoming series Gotham.

The 48-year-old Ottawa native plays the crime-solving partner of Police Commissioner James Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie.

Logue is known for playing Lee Toric on Sons of Anarchy. Last year, he made guest appearances on the Showcase series Copper and the History series Vikings.

Teen actor David Mazouz (Touch) will play Bruce Wayne in Gotham.

The series, currently in production in New York City, also stars Jada Pinkett Smith as gangster boss Fish Mooney and Sean Pertwee as Wayne’s butler Alfred.

Gotham, based on DC Comics characters, follows Gordon and Bullock as they investigate the death of Wayne’s parents.

Earlier this year, Fox president Kevin Reilly explained: “This is not some adjunct companion series. This is the Batman franchise, just backing it up.”
