METRO VANCOUVER — At least one shot was fired in a robbery today at the Willowbrook Mall in Langley but there were no reported injuries, according to the RCMP.
Police are now searching for multiple suspects believed to have left the mall, said Cpl. Holly Marks, media relations officer at the Langley RCMP Detachment.
The robbers also used bear spray and those in the vicinity are suffering mild effects, Marks said. "The mall was not evacuated."
A witness called the RCMP at 12:09 p.m. to report an armed robbery at the Golden Tree Jewelers.
One police car crashed en route to the crime scene resulting in minor injuries.
