TORONTO – A section of highway near Pearson International Airport was closed overnight following a fatal traffic accident.
Provincial police say just before 1 a.m., a man heading south on Hwy. 427 drove into a divider near Hwy. 409 and his Dodge Caravan flipped several times.
The 46-year-old west-end Toronto resident was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they don’t yet know what caused the accident.
The man’s name won’t be released until relatives are notified.
In the meantime, the OPP is asking any witnesses to the accident to contact them.
