A $30,000 reward has been offered in the Jolene Riendeau murder case, police announced Tuesday.
Officials say the reward is thanks to six anonymous donors, who came forward to the Sun Youth Organization.
Police hope the reward will encourage those with helpful information to come forward.
Riendeau was 10-years-old when she went missing in April 1999.
She’d told her father she was going to the corner store but never returned.
Her remains were found last fall under a bridge in her Point Ste-Charles neighbourhood.
Riendeau’s funeral was held on May 13 at a church near where the little girl had lived.
Grieving family members thanked police for their efforts, but pleaded for answers surrounding Jolene’s death.
Anyone with any information on the case is urged to call Info-Crime at 514 393-1133.
All information will be kept confidential.
