CALGARY – Friday marks the third anniversary of a murder-suicide that rocked the city of Calgary.

One of the victims is being remembered Thursday afternoon in the form of a scholarship.

The Amber Webb-Bowerman Memorial Foundation scholarship was handed out a SAIT Thursday morning to some deserving recipients.

The fund was established in 2008 and provides scholarships and awards to emerging artists and journalists.

Amber Bowerman was killed in the Dalhousie basement suite she rented by Joshua Lall, who also murdered his wife and two daughters before killing himself on May 27th, 2008.

Only the families infant Anna Lall survived.

The crime brought even veteran police officers to tears.
