In an echo of Hans Solo at the end of Empire Strikes Back, a new iPhone case has been released, well sort of. The iPhone case depicts Apple CEO frozen in carbonite but good luck trying to buy it.
According to Society6, the online store that was selling the Steve Jobs in carbonite iPhone case, a cease and desist order was issued shortly after the case went up for sale.
A statement for the case creator, Greg Koeing says, “Well it was fun while it lasted. Yesterday, Society6 was issued a cease and desist from Apple’s lawyers. So I’m sorry to say that the cases and skins are no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
“Also – I’m unemployed and looking for freelance work!” says Koeing.
Society6 is an online community store that sells skins and cases for computer devices such as the iPhone on behalf of designers, and graphic artists.
