The Coquihalla Highway was closed this morning between Hope and Merritt for avalanche control.
It was expected to stay closed until 11 a.m., but has now re-opened.

Snow had been building above the highway, creating a potential hazard so helicopters were used to reduce the risk, by triggering controlled snowslides.
In the meantime, drivers were being told to re-route around the area.
