REGINA – A judge has ordered a former Regina police constable to pay $1,000 to Regina’s detox centre.
Robert Power, 41, was found guilty of assault on Feb. 12 following a May 2012 incident when Power kicked an intoxicated man and later lied about it.

He was fired by the Regina Police Service in March 2013.
Power will also spend a year on probation and may have to attend counseling for anger management.
The judge said Power needed to be held to a higher standard than the general public.
