A Penticton veterinarian has been found guilty of unprofessional conduct and ordered to pay a fine by the B.C. College of Veterinarians.
After a formal hearing, an inquiry committee has ordered Dr. Steve Harvey to pay $15,000 after a Penticton resident lodged a formal complaint following the death of her dog.
Harvey will have to complete a course about medical records and spend an extra 30 hours in pharmacy, critical care and internal medicine.
He has also been ordered not to prescribe a specific drug to canine patients.
