Power restored to most customers after outage in Markham

TORONTO – Most PowerStream customers in Markham have had their power restored after a broken electricity pole caused an outage early Thursday morning.

PowerStream reported the outage on their Twitter page around 4 a.m.

The area affected is between Major Mackenzie and McCowan Road.

About 7,500 customers were originally impacted at the height of the outage but crews managed to return some of the power.

Officials had said the electricity will return at 6:30 a.m.
