Interesting Fact: After the death of a close friend he decided to retire from professional snowboarding in January 2010. His passion for competition was reignited while coaching now-teammate Katie Tsuyuki and he decided to come out of retirement to compete in Sochi.

Chances: It’s hard to say how well Lipscomb will perform after a three-year hiatus from competition. Likely not a medal favourite but he could surprise people.
