Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for Elton John and his band, appearing May 10 at Credit Union Centre.
John’s Greatest Hits Live concert features No. 1 hits and classic album tracks from his five-decade career. Among his greatest hits are Bennie and the Jets, Rocket Man and Candle in the Wind.
Overall, John has sold more than 250 million records worldwide and is one of the top-selling solo artists in history. Among his greatest accomplishment in the industry: seven straight No. 1 albums, nine No. 1 hits, 56 top-40 singles, six Grammy Awards along with an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Tony Award. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
Tickets cost $69, $99 and $149 each plus service charges. There is an eight-ticket limit per customer. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.ca, livenation.com and charge-by-phone at 938-7800.
John last played in Saskatoon in 2008, wowing a sold-out crowd.
Other scheduled stops in Canada include Lindsay, Ont. on April 9, Winnipeg on May 7, Regina on May 11 and Calgary on May 14.
