Water main break floods Transcona street, bar

A broken water main flooded Bond St. at Pandora Ave. in Transcona, and forced everyone out of the Pandora Inn on Friday, January 10, 2013. Walther Bernal

Another burst water pipe caused another watery mess in a Winnipeg neighourhood Friday.

This time it was on Bond Street at Pandora Avenue in Transcona. A broken water main sent water gushing from a Chinese restaurant, which is in the same building as the Pandora Inn on Bond St.

Everyone in the building was forced to leave; firefighters on scene said the electrical box in the basement was submerged. City crews were working to stem the flow and fix the leak.
