HALIFAX – Halifax police seized a weapon and arrested one man Tuesday after someone fired a series of shots inside a barbershop in Dartmouth.

No one was injured even though people scattered when the bullets started flying at the busy shopping plaza at 118 Wyse Road near the Angus MacDonald bridge.

Investigators say they received a call for help at 2:25 p.m.

Once on the scene, police say a security guard told officers he had spotted a man running into the Dartmouth Sportsplex, where a suspect was later arrested.

Halifax Regional Police are asking for the public’s help as their investigation continues.
