Olivia and Ethan topped the list for the most popular baby names for those born in 2012, according to the British Columbia Vital Statistics Agency.
In 2011 Liam and Emma were top of the list.
Those two names were also popular in 2012 with both making it into the top five.

For girls the top five names were Olivia, Emma, Sophia, Emily and Ava.
Rounding out the top five for the boys were Liam, Lucas, Mason and Logan.
Taking a cue from pop culture, in 2012 there were 71 babies named Justin, 70 named Taylor, 35 named Khloe and 30 named Bella.
The Agency says 44,270 babies were born in B.C. in 2012, up from 43,991 in 2011.
