Winnipeg man arrested in connection with Maryland Street homicide investigation

A man is facing murder charges months into a homicide investigation by Winnipeg police.

Officials say 30-year-old Tyron Custer Harper was arrested on Friday. He was wanted in connection to the killing of 26-year-old Kevin Delaney Flett, who police said was assaulted with a weapon on Feb. 25.

Police said at the time that Flett was found injured in the area of Maryland Street and Wellington Avenue and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He later died.

In a release issued June 7, police said the suspect was facing a second-degree murder charge and was taken into custody.
