Saskatoon police were near 8th Street East and Arlington Avenue on Friday, where they say a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.

A 74-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police provided an update on Monday, saying her condition has stabilized.

Eastbound lanes on 8th Street at Arlington Avenue were blocked off at the time of the accident and drivers were asked to avoid the area. All traffic restrictions have since been lifted.

Police are still investigating.
