TORONTO – Tuesday’s commute across the GTA could be messy.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, and Coburg.
An Alberta Clipper — a very fast-moving low pressure system that originates from Alberta that possesses low moisture — is speeding in overnight.

Though low in moisture content, it will still produce some snowfall.
In this case, there’s also a band of snow over Lake Ontario which is expected to move northwest, reaching the city overnight. Up to 10 cm may fall overnight into Tuesday morning. As the snow band moves inland, snow will taper off to about 2 cm.
The snowfall could cause low visibility on roads. Motorists are urged to use caution and to drive according to road conditions.
