Leduc RCMP issue travel advisory for QEII

EDMONTON – Leduc RCMP are warning motorists of poor winter driving conditions on the QEII highway south of Edmonton Thursday.

RCMP sent out the advisory shortly after 1 p.m.

Officers are asking people to drive with extreme care and caution while traveling the QEII because there are sections that are very slippery, as well as white out conditions.

There is also a “no tow” advisory in effect until road conditions improve.

RCMP say it’s not safe at this time for vehicles to be towed from the highway because of the poor weather conditions.
