EDMONTON – A lot of public dollars are going into some high profile projects downtown Edmonton, including the Royal Alberta Museum and the newly-named Rogers Place.

With the amount of public cash being spent in the core, it’s hoped that many private projects will follow.

In part one of a three part series looking into the changes happening in downtown Edmonton, Vinesh Pratap has a closer look at businesses moving to the area.

Over the past several years, the restaurant and hospitality scene has really picked up in the downtown core. And when it comes to finding a place to eat in Edmonton, downtown appears the place to be.

Small business investment is critical to the ongoing growth of downtown. And as Vinesh Pratap finds out in part two of his series, entrepreneurs are stepping up.

A true measure of a successful city centre is having people living there. As Vinesh Pratap concludes his three part series, he takes a look at the people aspect of the area and what it takes to call downtown home.
