A senior died after being struck by a vehicle in the village of Beaverton, Ont., on Tuesday afternoon.
Durham Regional police said that at around 3 p.m., a pedestrian was struck on Simcoe Street.

Investigators determined the man was trying to cross the street when he was struck by an eastbound minivan.
Police say the 86-year-old man sustained serious injuries and died while being taken by paramedics to hospital.
