Because Brrr

Because Beer Craft Beer Festival announces the return of Because Brrr in a weekend of sampling sessions for 2023, when we’ll gather at Hamilton’s Bridgeworks to celebrate great local craft beer and cider! Sample craft beer and cider vendors, enjoy delicious food, a free retro arcade, and live music acts in a new sessions format.

In 2023, Because Brrr offers three four-hour session options: Friday February 17 (8pm-midnight), Saturday February 18 (2pm-6pm), and Saturday February 18 (8pm-midnight) in Hamilton’s Bridgeworks, on the north end of Central Park, just a short stroll from the West Harbour GO.

This event will take place exclusively indoors.

Vendors include Clifford Brewing Co., Collective Arts Brewing, Fairweather Brewing Co., Grain & Grit Beer Co., Harmon’s Craft Brewing, Merit Brewing, Society of Beer Drinking Ladies, Steel Town Cider Co., and West Avenue Cider House. (Harmon’s and SOBDL will appear for Saturday sessions only.)

Food options will be available to purchase from Get Your Own Taters.

Live entertainment will vary by day.

Friday’s music lineup features good-vibes-only pop, rock and R&B cover band The 99s.

Saturday’s music lineup features festival favourites Born In The Eighties, six-season veterans of the summer Because Beer fest (as well as the last three editions of Because Brrr)!

Because Brrr ticket purchase also entitles buyer to exclusive access to Presale tickets for Because Beer 2023 (taking place July 14-15, 2023 in Pier 4 Park). This tier will not be otherwise available.

Because Brrr tickets include a complimentary sampling glass.

Four-ounce sampling tokens will be available for purchase: Five for $10, 10 for $20.

ATM is available onsite.

Venue bar will not be serving alcohol during this event.

Designated Driver tickets will be available, but exclude glassware and do not permit the handling or consumption of alcohol.

All buyers/attendees must be 19+ years of age at time of event. No babies/children permitted.

Government-issued photo ID is required to enter.

No animals permitted other than working service animals.

All sales are final; no ticket refunds unless event is cancelled.
