After a two-year break (and two years of a Month of Giving), Global Calgary hosts its fifth Morning of Giving on Wednesday, December 7 from 6 – 9 a.m. in support of The Magic of Christmas.
Join Leslie Horton and our donation drive-thru at our Global Calgary studios (222 23 St. NE) and drop off a new, unwrapped gift for any age (household items, clothing, toys, electronics, etc.) to help Calgary families in need.
The Magic of Christmas is a 100% volunteer, non-denominational charity based in the city of Calgary. Every Christmas Eve, they load up Calgary Transit buses, magically transformed into “reindeer buses,” with hundreds of gifts and volunteers dressed as Santa and his elves. Then, they deliver Christmas spirit into the homes and hearts of those who need it most.
In 2019, $49,629 was raised in three hours, including cash donations, gift cards, gift certificates and online donations. In addition, 5,376 items were donated – all for The Magic of Christmas.
