D.W. Poppy Secondary is getting ready to host its annual Car Show. This great tradition of putting on the one of the first car shows of the season brings many benefits for the school. With up to 850 + cars on display, local vendors and thousands of spectators it is a great fundraiser for various groups in the school such as the shop departments, athletic teams, dry grad and many others. It allows our students a chance to learn the importance of school community and giving back – their volunteer time at the car show offers them opportunities such as the destination athletic trips, the school race car, Dry Grad celebration and more. You will find students helping out on the day of the show at the concession, the gates, the grounds and setup/clean up. It is an opportunity for the school to connect with the local community.
