Drypoint is a hand-drawn direct intaglio method perfect for creating a soft dense line weight, great to incorporate with collagraph and other processes, and doesn’t require etching with acid. Artist Kelsey Stephenson will take you through the basics of this accessible technique and how to incise a variety of plates from copper, sintra, aluminium, and acrylic. During this evening demo you will see the full drawing and incising process and see how to mix ink, wipe the plate, and print with SNAP’s intaglio presses.
