Enhance your museum family experience by embarking on self-guided escapades with a custom Discovery Backpack activity kit. Designed for kids ages 4 – 10, each Discovery Backpack comes with a multitude of activities, scavenger hunts, and adventure-learning initiatives that blends history with fun as they explore over 30 of the museum’s towering displays of historical aircraft. For a nominal fee of $5.00, each backpack is rentable, sanitized, and customizable to your child’s experience and/or school curriculum needs. Children will also be able to create their very own artwork and paper airplanes – mementos to take home with them to continue the adventure. The Alberta Aviation Museum is currently open Thursdays – Sundays. Admissions are $15/adults, $12/students/seniors, $10.50/youth 13-17, and $9.50/children 6-12. Children 5 and under are free.
