Approximately 8 million tonnes of plastic pollution enter the ocean every year. That’s why across of the globe, we’re asking people to give up plastic, in return for Corona. Corona and Parley for the Oceans have partnered to clean up Canada’s shorelines, encouraging Canadians to get involved in the 50 beach clean-ups happening from coast to coast throughout the summer. Join Corona and Parley on July 13th to help clean up the shoreline at Parc de la Frayère in Ste-Marthe-sur-le-Lac. Corona and Parley are not only ensuring the plastic received is upcycled and given a second life, but also taking the opportunity to incentivize participants to avoid plastic altogether with educational messaging on-site. Following the clean-up and to reward our volunteers, we will be hosting a CoronaxParley celebration after the cleanup at Beachclub. This celebration will feature a local DJ, beachside eats and our Corona “Pay with Plastic” Beach Bar”. It’s here where we encourage you to bring a piece of plastic from the cleanup as a payment for one of our limited edition Corona swag items. What you need to bring: Nothing! We will provide you with a clean-up vest and snacks. Just remember -it’s important to dress for the weather. Please wear appropriate clothing/shoes and bring a refillable water bottle. No plastic!
