Student Job Fair

3RD ANNUAL YOUTH EMPLOYMENT FAIR

The Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic District School Board, along with community partners, are pleased to invite employers from Guelph/Wellington/Dufferin and surrounding areas to attend the 3rd Annual Youth Employment Opportunity Fair in Guelph.

This is unique opportunity to connect directly with hundreds of eager job-seekers from across the region who are ages 16+ and looking for employment that will start when the school year is complete. Employers may be recruiting for summer, part-time, full-time or entry level career opportunities.

Students attending the fair will be prepared to meet employers and complete applications for the jobs being promoted. Space for interviews will be available, if needed.

Guaranteed student audience! 400+ students in grade 11 or completing grade 12 will be attending by buses directly from high schools to meet with employers about potential job opportunities.

– Employers must be currently recruiting summer part-time, full-time or permanent positions for youth ages 16+ (Including permanent positions for students completing grade 12).
– Full-time positions can not commence before the school year is complete.
– Employers recruiting for one or more Canada Summer Jobs positions are eligible to attend.

TENTATIVE AGENDA:
8:00am – venue open for employer set-up
8:00am-9:30am – coffee/tea and baked goods available
9:15am – Welcome/Launch
9:30am-12:30pm – groups of students come and go by school bus
