Art Placement is pleased to present a collaborative exhibition between gallery artist Heather Cline and guest artist Edie Marshall. Cline and Marshall have maintained an ongoing dialogue within Regina’s art community for many years, but this is their first collaborative project and exhibition. Featuring a total of 14 paintings, one from each artist for every day of the week, the works are based on photographs taken by Cline and Marshall on the same day at the exact same time, in two very different geographic locations: Tuscany and the interior of British Columbia. The structure of the project bridges Cline’s interests in geography, narrative, and the history of travel painting, with Marshall’s ongoing investigations into time-based documentation.
