The Fraser Valley Symphony is excited to debut the Somerset Trio at its spring concert on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in celebration of the symphony’s 35th anniversary. Members of the Somerset Trio are violinist Alan Lopez, cellist Ben Goheen, and pianist David Antoniuk. The Trio combines music of a range of eras and genres, from pillars of the classical canon to original arrangements of today’s popular tunes, for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. They will be performing Beethoven’s exquisite “Triple Concerto” which has some of the most glorious writing imaginable for the classical-sized orchestra. Rounding out the program is Brahms’ “Serenade No.1.” a delightful combination of several short melodic movements. Founded in 1984, the FVS is comprised of musicians from Abbotsford and surrounding communities and is the premier community orchestra of the Fraser Valley Region. Lindsay Mellor is the Conductor/Music Director. This concert may sell out, so audience members are encouraged to purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment. Tickets: $ 20 Adults $ 15 Seniors & Students $ 5 Children (12 yrs & under)
