CHIEF JANICE GEORGE AND BUDDY JOSEPH RETURN TO MOV WITH THEIR POPULAR BLANKET WEAVING WORKSHOP. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN SALISH WEAVING SKILLS FROM SEASONED WEAVERS. Participants will enjoy an introduction to traditional wool weaving techniques and traditions. Each participant will subsequently create a textile with loom techniques under the direction of the instructors and leave the workshop with their own textile. A light lunch will also be served. Limited to 20 spaces. Date: Saturday, March 30, 2019 Time: 12:00pm – 4:00pm Admission: $140 General Admission; *$130 MOV Members. Space is limited. Please register early! *MOV members please show your identification along with your ticket at the door. Note: Event ticket includes FREE admission to Haida Now and Wild Things: The Power of Nature in Our Lives exhibitions. Please arrive early with your event ticket to view the exhibits.
