Vancouver Polish Film Festival (October 19-21, 2018) annually presents the newest and most interesting Polish films. From its inception, the festival is organized with the support of Simon Fraser University. This year’s 7TH Vancouver Polish Film Festival will have a unique atmosphere since we are also celebrating the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence. In honour of this momentous occasion, the festival will be showing two masterpieces of Oscar-winning Polish Director, Andrzej Wajda, titled “Ashes and Diamonds” and “Promised Land.” The festival’s program also includes several other long and short films, including the following, which will have their Canadian premiere: “303 Squadron,” “The Butler,” “Silent Night,” “Breaking the limits.” One film, “Via Carpatia” will have its North American premiere at the festival. Seventh Annual Vancouver Polish Film Festival Date: 0ctober 19-21, 2018 Location: SFU Woodward’s (Goldcorp Center for the Arts) at 149 West Hastings Street, Vancouver Website: http://www.vpff.ca Facebook Group: Vancouver Polish Film Festival Phone number: 604-520-6172
