Comedy icon, award winning actress and best-selling author Carol Burnett will be returning to Winnipeg with her show, Carol Burnett – An Evening of Laughter and Reflection Where the Audience Asks Questions. The show is a great evening of fun, nostalgia and true reflections where legendary comedian Carol Burnett shares memorable clips and moments from her illustrious career. Carol will take questions from the audience in a format that hearkens back to The Carol Burnett Show where her audience had an unfiltered opportunity to engage Carol with questions and receive spontaneous answers.

About Carol Burnett:
Carol Burnett, an award-winning actress and best-selling author, is widely recognized by the public and her peers for her work for her comedic and dramatic roles on television, film, and Broadway, most notably The Carol Burnett Show. Named in 2007 by TIME magazine as one of “100 Best Television Shows of All Time.” The Carol Burnett Show ran for 11 years, averaged 30 million viewers per week, and received 25 Emmy Awards, making it on of the most honoured shows in television history.

Carol received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 SAG Awards and is also the recipient of the Mark Twain prize, numerous Golden Globe, Emmy and People’s Choice Awards, the Horatio Alger Award, an Ace Award, a Grammy, a Peabody Award, and a Kennedy Center Honor to name a few.

Over the past year, Carol has been focused on four major projects. The first is the long awaited release on DVD of the initial five seasons of The Carol Burnett Show. These “lost episodes” have never been seen nor distributed since their initial broadcast and will for the first time be combines with the already available episodes from Seasons 6-11. The second is the active development of a feature with CBS Films entitled Sunrise in Memphis based on an unfinished story penned by her late daughter, Carrie. The third was The 50th Anniversary of The Carol Burnett Show special which aired on CBS last December to enormous ratings show the multi-generational appeal and strength of a show as relevant now as it was 50 years ago. The 4th is Carol’s new family show on Netflix entitled A Little Help with Carol Burnett which was launched May 4th of this year. The show, hosted by Ms. Burnett, is about a panel of young children providing advice to adults with dilemmas. In additional Carol continues to perform sold out shows across Canada and will be bringing her performance to Kitchener, Winnipeg and Regina!
