HOUSE CONCERT @GUSTIN HOUSE
Event EndedArt Placement has had the pleasure to work with Gustin House on collaborative presentations in the past and we are delighted to share news of their upcoming house program on Sunday, February 18th.
Joyous music for flute and piano and reflections by a celebrated author open a new season of programs at Gustin House. Ross Carstairs and Gregory Schulte will perform Beethoven’s Serenade for Flute and Piano, Op. 41, a beautiful suite in the style of salon music of the 18th and 19th centuries, and one of the most good-natured works the composer ever wrote. Also on the program are exquisite pieces by Mouquet and Gluck, and Fable for Flute and Piano (1992) by Regina composer, David L. McIntyre.
As part of the program, Guy Vanderhaeghe, acclaimed author of novels, short stories and plays, will also explore the subject “Childhood Memory: The Writer’s Storehouse.”
