HELP A CHILD FIND INSPIRATION WITH IPADS FOR INPIRATION
In celebration of our 70th Anniversary, the Children’s Ability Fund is pleased to launch the iPads for Inspiration program.
iPads have been proven to be a useful tool to bridge communication challenges for young children with learning disabilities.
iPads Inspire
iPads provide children with disabilities the opportunity to improve their communication, fine motor, and cognitive skills. Communication skills are fundamental for participation in family activities, school and for long-term social development.
Since an iPad utilizes a touchscreen, it is more accessible for children who have learning or coordination difficulties. Most children who use the iPad find that tapping and sliding motions are much easier than typing. iPads have customizable options and can be tailored to the child and his/her specific needs. iPads can also go wherever the child goes, which means they have ways to calm, focus, and learn while on-the-go.
