The 39th annual Vancouver Writers Fest takes place from October 18–25, 2026 on Granville Island and beyond! This year’s Festival features over 150 local and international authors, in 90+ events that will inspire you to READ, RESIST, and REPAIR. We read to learn about new ways of being in this world, and ways to repair it; we read to seek joy and to imagine new vistas; we read to walk in the shoes of others, and we read to resist those things we cannot accept. Whatever your reason for reading, you will come away from the 2026 Vancouver Writers Fest with an admirable pile of books to add to your must-read list, and some new ways of looking at this world we share.
