The Esquao Awards celebrate the achievements and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit women across Alberta, and honour the exceptional Indigenous women who have made significant accomplishments in their communities.
Since the inaugural Esquao Awards in 1995, over 558 women from 100 communities have been honoured in what has grown to be the single largest recognition event for Indigenous women in Canada. This year’s Awards are expected to attract more than 600 attendees.
