ABNC’s Groundhog Day Celebration 2025

The Allan Brooks Nature Centre is excited to announce its 4th annual Groundhog Day celebration, taking place on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025 at 10am. This free event is perfect for all ages and promises to bring fun, education, and a bit of winter magic to the community. This year’s event will feature the debut of our newest staff member, Okie the Mascot, who will take center stage as he emerges to determine whether he sees his shadow. Will Okie predict an early spring, or will we have six more weeks of winter? Join us at the Nature Centre to find out! Rebecca Barton from Beach Radio will once again be there to try and catch Okie’s shadow with us! The Groundhog Day celebration is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, learn more about the wildlife in our region, and create lasting memories with your family.
