Sept 21 – Litter Cleanup in North Burnaby!

The Lower Mainland Green Team and City of Burnaby have partnered up to bring people together to connect and make a difference at fun, community-spirited neighbourhood cleanups! Meet like-minded people in your community, enjoy time outdoors, try new things and make an impact locally. Join them on Saturday Sept 21st from 9:30am-12:45pm at the Eileen Dailly Leisure Pool & Fitness Centre to cleanup litter from the surrounding areas! Cleaning up litter on streets helps keep litter out of waterways and ecosystems, and sets a good example for the rest of the community. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! These family friendly cleanups welcome all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Gloves, safety vests, litter pickers and bags will be provided. Participants will be split into groups of 15+ people and will be led along cleanup routes by a designated leader. The LMGT’s and City of Burnaby’s past litter cleanup around Eileen Dailly in Sept 2023 engaged 115 people in cleaning up over 185 lbs of litter. Can you help them beat this?
