HARVEST HARMONY – Fall Fair and Ryga Festival Kickoff!

In the spirit of community, the Fall Fair, Ryga Centre and the Summerland Community Centre have joined hands to create an event on Friday, September 13th, for the community to enjoy. Natalie Hobbs, a young swing dance teacher from Kelowna, will be teaching swing dancing from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Natalie makes learning dance moves easy and fun! To engage those newly learned dance steps, the South Okanagan Big Band will provide live music for a swing dance/concert from 7pm to 9pm. Hot off Peach Fest and the Pentastic Jazz Festival, the band will be polished to a shine! Tickets for the evening are available now for only $15 and can be accessed on-line via the rygafest.ca website through Ticket Owl (scroll down the page a bit). Tickets may also be purchased at Sass boutique, or at the door. Dance lessons are included in the ticket price. Those without dance tickets are welcome to participate in the dance lesson by donation. The ambience will be a celebration of our local abundance! There will be displays and door prizes from our local food and beverage producers, and a cash bar featuring selections of local cider and beer (as well as “near beer”) from our wonderful sponsors, Heritage Cider and Detonate Brewing. This very affordable event is a fundraiser for all three organizations. C’mon down and enjoy a zesty evening! (Minors are welcome for free but each must be accompanied by an adult and may NOT, of course, be allowed to handle or access alcohol.)
