The Alberta Mine Safety Association and Westmoreland are proud to co-host the 41st Annual Mine Rescue Competition on June 8, 2024 at the Tri Leisure Centre in Spruce Grove, Alberta. Join us as Eight Mine Rescue teams from across the province will showcase their rescue techniques in five events, competing for the top spot and industry recognition. This competition provides an opportunity for the public, industry stakeholders, and the Province to evaluate and witness the effectiveness of mine rescue operations in Alberta. Mine Rescue members are dedicated volunteer professionals with specialized training, entrusted with the crucial task of rescue miners and others in the event of a mining incident.
