In this introductory workshop with artist, Ming Kong, explore East Asian calligraphy and learn proper brush grip and the common brushstrokes using the traditional mediums of brush, ink and rice paper. With a step-by-step approach, learn how to write a single Chinese calligraphy character in five different major script styles (Seal, Clerical, Standard, Running and Cursive) and discover the historical context of each script.
