Festiva! is a unique new Ballroom and Latin Dance Festival premiering its inaugural event in Edmonton on December 2, 2023. During the day, ‘Festiva!’ dancers aged 6 to 60+ will compete for scores and feedback from accredited Canadian Dancesport Federation (CDF) judges. This scoring system is unique in the Ballroom and Latin world, giving dancers valuable feedback on technique and performance so they can continue to advance to other competitions across North America. At night, Festiva! will come alive, celebrating dance in various genres. Feature Ballroom and Latin Showcase performances include Canadian and International title-holding dance pairs Thomas Zinger and Sarah Stolarsky, and Pavel Ivanov and Veronica Baranova. Guests will also enjoy social dancing in a Mardi Gras Carnival atmosphere. All ages are welcome to this event.
