Jeffery Fortier

Radio Operator

Jeffrey Fortier is a behind the scenes technical producer and master control operator at 680 CJOB. Jeff was born and bred in Winnipeg and from a young age loved to tinker with audio electronics, whether it was in home intercoms as a child, or, amplifiers, sub woofers and PA systems as he progressed through high school. Jeff played in several cover bands and maintained the sound system for band practices.

His love for audio drew him to an education in broadcasting and he landed his first broadcasting job at 680 CJOB in 2012. His appreciation for talk radio has kept him both entertained and challenged at work.  He has worked side by side with many of CJOB’s on air hosts and is currently working behind the scenes on the afternoon and early evening programming.  Jeff is also the man behind the board for all Winnipeg Blue Bomber broadcasts ensuring that Bob Irving’s play by play calls hit the air seamlessly.

Jeff is an avid drummer and has played in a few different bands. He has made many friendships over the years and keeps in touch with many of them by hosting weekly Sunday Night Movie Nights.​
