Courtney Stanfield
Weather specialist
Courtney Stanfield is the weekend weather anchor for Global News Hour at 6 and Global News at 11.
Originally from Winnipeg, Courtney first made the move to Alberta to attend Mount Royal University after high school. She earned a degree in Journalism, graduating in 2008. Since then, Courtney has lived in four provinces and worked for all major national networks in a variety of roles. Courtney most recently spent eight years on the morning show at CTV Calgary as the traffic anchor.
Courtney has been recognized for her work in the community over the years and is the recipient of awards from the Canadian Mental Health Association and St. John Ambulance.
In 2023, Courtney took a step back from her full-time role in media to prioritize family. She is the mother to three young children and pet parent to two senior dogs. Courtney is married to former Calgary TV personality turned video game designer, Kevin Stanfield. They met while working together on the CTV morning show in 2016 and got married just a few months later.
When not chasing her kids around, Courtney can be found breaking a sweat at a hot yoga class, playing pickleball, thrifting, perusing the bookstore, cooking up a storm, or enjoying a hot cup of tea in the sun.
