STEINBACH, Man. – They live in the heart of Blue Bomber Country but the King family bleeds green and only green.
Mom Michelle, Dad Jeff and sons Bennette and Louden are all off to Regina this week to cheer on the Rough Riders for the Grey Cup.
“When you’re born in Saskatchewan, that’s how it is… football and Wheat,” said Michelle King.
Michelle and Jeff moved to Steinbach, MB in the 1990’s. Their two sons were born there.
Their house is a shrine to the Riders. Everything from the coffee to the Kleenex, to the beer fridge, is decked out in Rider pride.
They even have Riders flag on their front lawn.
“We get some ribbing for that,” said Michelle.
She and her husband have tickets to the game but the entire family hopes to enjoy the Kids Zone and the parade on Saturday.
