After a tumultuous few months in the aftermath of June’s devastating flood, the embattled town of High River is ready to move forward with a new town council.
Craig Snodgrass, a local businessman, was elected mayor on Monday. He defeated town councillor Jamie Kinghorn, who was serving on town council.
The mayor’s chair was vacated, after Emile Blokland decided to step down.
