TORONTO – Families of the victims who died in the Sept. 11 attacks gathered Wednesday to mark the 12th anniversary of the worst terror attacks on the United States in ceremonies in New York City and Washington.
Obama, along with first lady Michelle Obama, attended the tribute ceremony at the Pentagon.

In New York, relatives of those killed read the names of those who died.
The 2001 attacks resulted in the deaths of nearly 3,000 people, including 24 Canadians. Two hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia and one crash landed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
