Don Jon is a very personal project for Gordon-Levitt, who also wrote and directed the film about a womanizing young man addicted to online pornography and promiscuous sex who must face the emotional issues that come up when he becomes involved with two different women (Johansson and Julianne Moore).

Tony Danza plays the titular character’s father.

Don Jon is Johansson’s second film at this year’s TIFF — the 28-year-old’s Under the Skin had its North American premiere Monday night.

Entering a downtown building Tuesday morning, the newly-engaged actress tried to avoid a pair of photographers by walking behind her entourage.

Gordon-Levitt, 32, is no stranger to TIFF, having been a part of films like Looper and Mysterious Skin.
