Little Lilee-Jean Putt passes away after long battle with cancer

Little Lilee-Jean Putt, the girl who delighted so many people who watched her stories on Global BC, has passed away.

On the family’s Facebook page Friday night, her parents wrote:

“It is With broken hearts we make this post.. As of 5:25pm, our princess Lilee-Jean Frances Putt, our angel here on earth, is now looking down on us from heaven. She had a rough day today, and is no longer in any distress. She passed away curled up in Mommy’s arms, listening to daddy play his guitar.”

Lilee-Jean was only two years old.

She was battling a brain tumour and was diagnosed when she was only 10 months old. In late August, doctors said there is nothing else they can do for her, and said it would be unlikely she would make it to her third birthday in early December.

In late August, the communities of Abbotsford and Chilliwack rallied to give Lilee-Jean some great memories, by having Halloween, Christmas, and bringing in truckloads of snow.
